Alfred Jones is an experienced Licensed Clinical Social Worker, mental health therapist, and addiction counselor. He earned his
Master of Social Work from the University of South Carolina and specializes in treating mood disorders, anxiety, personality disorders, and substance use disorders.
His extensive clinical and leadership experience includes directing comprehensive outpatient psychiatric and substance use treatment programs, overseeing partial hospitalization, intensive outpatient, and traditional outpatient services. He has also developed community-based programs, professional training materials, and initiatives addressing behavioral health needs.
Mr. Jones founded Jones Behavioral Health, Inc., in 2000. With 27 years of service to the community, the practice has established a longstanding commitment to providing behavioral health care. Through the organization, he developed specialized treatment programs for sex offenders, drug court participants, and accountability court participants within the Augusta Judicial Circuit. He has also managed behavioral health services for the Georgia State Board of Pardons and Paroles.
His community partnerships include
Georgia Campaign for Adolescent Pregnancy Prevention (G-CAPP) and the
Centers for Disease Control and Prevention (CDC), focusing on teen pregnancy prevention in the Central Savannah River Area. He has presented nationally on mental health, behavioral science, and addiction.
Based in Augusta Georgia, Mr. Jones remains committed to individualized treatment, evidence-informed practices, personal responsibility, and lasting behavioral change.
