Groups

Group Starts February 28th at 4:00pm

Our Vision

Being a teenager is hard. Pressure seems to come from everywhere- teachers, parents, friends, even themselves. This group is intended to teach teenagers how to love themselves as they are, promote a healthy body image, and improve self-worth.  Through behavioral exercises and psychoeducation, they will develop a healthier view of self, build self-confidence, learn social skills, and become empowered young women.

What is this group all about?

Sometimes it is easier or more effective to express yourself through art. In this group each member will be provided an art journal and art materials. At each hour long session, the group will be led in a discussion of varying topics including resilience, confidence, body image, and more as well as an art journaling activity.

This is not an art class and artistic skill is not required. This is an opportunity to look inward and grasp a better understanding of your emotions and how to express them through your art as well as your voice.

                           A WOMAN’S JOURNEY

Group starts Tuesday, March 29th at 11:00am

I’m an adult. I’m already on my journey. Why do I need to be a part of this group?

Women face a variety of challenges and pressures that are unique to them. The world is constantly changing and a woman’s role in that world looks different than it did in your mother and grandmother’s generation. This group is a safe outlet for talking about those challenges and pressures and also serves as a means of much needed support.

I could use support, but a group? That sounds scary.

When women support each other, they develop a sense of empowerment and those challenges and pressures don’t seem so large! This group is a place where you can be surrounded by compassionate women that understand what you are going through and can provide insight from their own experiences.

Ok I’m interested, but what is this group all about?

A Woman’s Journey is an open processing group addressing issues common to adult women including self-care, work/life balance, self-compassion, boundaries, coping skills, resilience, identity formation, relationship support, finding purpose and fulfillment, and living your best life. Group meetings are weekly 1 hour sessions and will be ongoing.
